Being a professional classical musician myself, I feel that I can relate to what you are writing with some confidence. It's surprisingly rare these days when you find somebody who realizes that music has life to it, rather than just dead meaningless technique as is becoming the norm. Gone are the days of artistry, and now all we are left with is mechanical precision. As always, I'm a big fan of your work, and this is certainly no exception.
I cried. Your stories create emotion. I love your style. I have read all of your submissions so far. Having a blind daughter and understanding the adjustments required in dealing with lost senses, I appreciate the story about the deaf woman. I look forward to reading more from you. For what it is worth, although I have read stories here for about a year, this is my first time to comment.
I'm also a classically trained musician, and frankly this story is too good for this site. Very rarely is such deep emotions evoked from just a few words. Music is the language of emotion, and the "food of love". Thanks for sharing this masterpiece!
again...a true hearbreaking story... you do have a gift with words and emotions1
This was a wonderful read. I don't normally wander into this section but I'm so glad I did. I cried as I read this and I will probably cry again as I think about it. Thank you for gracing my screen with the masterful work.
So much emotion packed into one page, for that alone I'd like to score a 10!! Has to be one of the best short stories here.
