re: Pick a point of view

I do think it is a bit jarring, but the writer DOES using *** as a transition. It's not out of nowhere. So, I disgree. It's not that big a problem as long as the transactions continue.

Honey not hunny

I don't know why but I've been seeing this a lot lately. The correct spelling for both the term of endearment and bee's nectar is HONEY. There is no such thing as hunny.

I try not to be too critical when words are misspelled, but this one is just laziness. Making up spellings instead of looking it up. If you don't have spell check, remember, dictionaries still exist.

I also do not care for the bastardization of words that happens so often. I assume a lot has to do with texting and email conservation of key strokes.

Hun in particular is a word I find greatly overused. Obviously HUN is just the abreviated HUNNY. I personally do not care for either term. In real life we all hear terms of endearment using honey but I rarely hear HUN or even HON used.

Used sparingly and with true affection is much better than what seems to be the norm at LIT.

Hopefully no one has been offended by my opinion.

Oh boy, another one

Some of the worse use of the English language I've ever seen. I can usually forgive a few misspellings, but for someone, I have to assume has been through school system somewhere in this country, to use english this poorly is unforgivable. For me you ruined your story by simply using poor english skills. Or by simply not paying attention to what you were writing and by not going back over your work before posting it on this site. It was both disappointing and distracting.

The old fart
