This is certainly different but it didn't

hold my attention the way the rest of your stories do. I had some difficulty following who did what to whom. I do congratulate you for trying something new, but for me, this just isn't it!

DG Hear!

I know this isn't for everyone. One day when I was watching TV court shows, I told myself, "Self, I could do what these judges do". So I played Judge for a day. I really had fun writing it, sorry if you didn't enjoy reading it.

Great and funny

This is so real to life. I dont watch these shows for the very reason this story is so funny. Glad to see you posting new stories.

Good ole white trash thrown in with some black

cream. If the husband had a brain the other logger would have been quietly deceased with no evidence trail. The black workers would be easy to name, they are on the company payroll or so was said. As far as raising another persons bastard got to admit I would not do it. You were right, got to think of the child and best case is to let it be adopted. Divorce the slut, she was a slut, is a slut, and whether she knew black guys were pulling a train on her or not, she isnt worth keeping. The trouble maker of the story got his just due by marrying another round heeled slut. He will never know what man give his wife the various diseases she gives him. Once a cheater, always a cheater. As far as the judgement on the vehicle, quit the job and move to another state. If they track you quit there and move again. Easy in this type of occupation. Of course if the vehicle were destroyed in a fire or major wreck repairs would not be necessary.

Great Story

I know as a judge you can only tell the court room action. But it would be nice to know if there was any follow up action to give the story a final conclusion. This story was very good and I do think you should start a series with it.

Bad Bishop & Wet Dream Girl had a series in the Observe Universe, (Which They have Removed) I think you should try something similar.

Difficult

To damned difficult to follow and about a bunch of trash, not worth reading.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 16 years ago
This left a bad taste

Well written. The characters were painfully two dimensional. And the outcome was just nasty. Yes, courts sometimes do come to unsatisfactory conclusions - but if I wanted to read about cases where the law fails the people utterly I'd scan court records, not this site.

Please write a follow-up in which justice is served.

Good story!

Perhaps because English people always poke fun at our selves

and others but I liked this story, I read it a while ago on another website liked then and like it now. Oh and just for some fun I did watch that "JUDGE JUDY" thing and let me tell you they have people just like this on the show, watch it some time and have a laugh.

Good

It was good but not great. Something about the characters, none of them was really worth caring about and it left the story a bit flat.

Kinda Sad....

I know this is meant to be somewhat of a humorous tale about brain-dead people, but it left a sour taste in my mouth. THe fact that the story revolves around rape and that you use people of color like an easy to dispose tool is weak imo. There's no logic in having three seperate people who happen to be black rape the same woman knowing how easy it would be to pen the blame on them using company records. Overall not one of your better stories.

Somewhat flat

I am a fan of these court shows, and have been a fan for many years. In watching over that time I have witnessed a number of very outrageous litigants and very unusual, yet valid, contests.

Your story was so tame in comparison that it lacked credibility. Perhaps had I never seen one of these shows I might have liked the story better. Being a viewer I know that it is very hard to write a plot more stranger than the reality we see presented everyday on those shows. Yours was a nice attempt but the story was much too tame and flat by comparison.

as I mentioned to you before. This story just didn't do it at all for me. Sorry.

Fun story

Really fun story, I would like to see more. Also more TT Spalding would be good

We are not amused.

I know the only real way they would've known the child wasn't her husband's was to have it be of a different race, but the husband's reaction to the situation didn't sit well with me. Knowing that his wife was raped, as opposed to willfully cheating on him, he should have been more forgiving and more receptive of the child. No, it may not be his, and yes, it may be black, but it's still his wife's child. If he really loved her, he could love the child, too. But I realize this was written as a comedy, and as fallible as each of the characters is, they can see flaws in everybody but themselves. However, I did enjoy hearing some of the judge's inner thoughts, and I thoroughly enjoyed the courtroom dialogue.

Easy enough to get company records find the

former black employees, require a DNA test on them and the baby and have the father pay for child support. Most states would now require that of fatherless babies. The husband is correct in seeking a divorce due to the baby it takes financial responsibility off him and the state should pursue the real father for child support. As far and Bruce and the old truck go, as a logger so man accidnets can and do occur there is no need to attempted murder, his accidental death could be well established. Remember when you play in the trash can, all you get is trash, and this whole crowd is pure trash.

Nice enough

I enjoyed mostly the humour angle in the story. I dare guess that the same plus perhaps the chalenge of producing a parody of the court drama jenre, were the points which motivated DG to go about writing this piece to begin with.

It showed, as in other respects (other readers have expressed similar sentiments) the story was a bit of a let down. The plot went smoothly from begining to end with no real development (it's all a done deal, where past conflicts are all turned into a wash against each other) except for no satisfying ending (a strange decision for a humoristic story).

The angle of looking down at 'the white trash type of people' was not a high point either; like "the rest of us" are so much different and have very different problems than 'these people'.

huedogghuedoggover 12 years ago
I gave it a one because it is typical of your man hating style

I don't think your a man, I never have. Most of your stories the husband gets fucked so bad it's unbelieveable. This husband did nothing wrong, neither did his wife. But the so call friend sets him up by getting his wife pregnant for her picking her husband of him when they were younger. The judge knows it wrong but just gives a bullshit speech about taking care of a kid that's not your or could even pass for yours. And the use of the black men again is over used. Next time you an Arabic person.

I Liked It

But it begs for a sequel. Who was the father? Did she cheat on her husband or was she drugged? Did the judge get a piece of Jane's ass? Yes we definitely need a ch.2.

Oh Yeah!

Your worst story ever, DG.

I read it once before and will never read it again, I just saw it and felt compelled to leave you this message. I refrained the first time I saw it (when I read down your page earlier, last year, I think). Sorry to criticize, this is not nearly up to your usual standards. Everyone has a bad day from time to time.

TavadelphinTavadelphinalmost 10 years ago
Hmm it actually worked - of course -

It gives life and proof that justice is not fair - they are 2 different things entirely -

It is almost certain that the people here were fucked up - BUT - drugging and arranging to have the woman raped is an actual and real crime and the dickhead likely did it and got off - the system will do that - while others pay for it

If truth makes a bad story this was a very bad story LOL - a 5 if I ever saw one -

Bruce Is A Lucky SOB

First, if he didn't leave till 3:00 AM, and if Mark and his wife crashed around midnight(?), he had plenty of time to join the gang bang. Maybe it can't be proven, but it's obvious the Snyder's are right, it's too coincidental that they crash much earlier than usual, that three black studs just happen to be there and just happen to go to there tent.

And maybe I'm cold, but she should give the baby up for adoption if she loves her husband and he can't find it in himself to raise it. Of course, given how they came together, it's quite likely they were never really in love.

krosis666krosis666almost 10 years ago
Good on ya Bruce

Nice revenge on those cheating, back-stabbing scumbags.

The bitch probably knew what was going on all along, anyway. If she can cheat on one boyfriend, and see nothing wrong with that, then she would definitely do it again. Most likely Mark WAS drugged, but since April remembers 'The great sex' from that night, it seems likely that she WASN'T drugged, and just did what comes naturally to her.

krosis666krosis666almost 10 years ago
Also

everyone is commenting on how she was'Raped'.

There was ZERO evidence of that. There WAS evidence proving that hubby was drinking all day. Just because he thinks he could have been able to drink more, doesnt mean that he was definitely drugged. He MIGHT have been drugged, or he MIGHT have been shit-faced drunk. Same for her. She MIGHT have been drugged and raped, or she MIGHT have taken one look at her new baby, immediately realising that it wasn't her husbands, and screamed rape in an effort to stay married. There were no reports of rape, even though she remembered ALL the sex, and said herself that it was the best sex ever. If she was aware enough to remember that, then she would have been aware enough to realize that there were THREE big men in her tent, along with her passed out husband. So, unless she was used to getting 'The best sex ever' from her drunk and unconscious husband, she obviously KNEW that she was fucking strangers. It definitely wouldn't be the first time she cheated at a party she attended with her partner. If she knew that, then she would have reported it as rape, unless it was consensual, and she was just trying to keep it secret. If it WAS rape, why is adamant that she is keeping the baby, even at the cost of her marriage?

AnonymousAnonymousabout 9 years ago
Kind of trite and passionless.

A bit boring, like reading a report of the trial. I suspect it was supposed to be humorous, but I found it lame and uninteresting.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 6 years ago
I usually like DG's stories, but ...

This story really sucked. I see there's a debate whether there was a rape. Simple fact to consider, if a woman is intoxicated, she cannot legally give consent. No consent means sexual assault. There's plenty of guys in jail where a woman got drunk on her own accord and she convinced him to go to bed with her. The problem arises she wakes up the next day with buyer's remorse and then convinces herself she was taken advantage.

Anyway, this story was as good as the one where DG stopped in the middle and then asks for suggestions on how to finish.
