I like the way you're positioning her as the one who really wields the power. I can see her reshaping her world such that she really does start to call the shots. She seems to have that strength of character.

So is she going to keep rolling down the masochist's hill until she rolls off a cliff to her death? That seems to be the only definition of 'enough.' I believe I am done here. I'm sure many others will continue to enjoy this.
