Very simplistic in the writing style. Not a great fan of jumping from POV to POV, gets distracting. Story is mediocre at best and unrealistic.

Never been a huge fan of satire, but pretty funny I mean who would even let her back in the house never mind the rest of that silliness locks changed and maybe an Order of protection/restraining order in place before she got back but still a good read.

Seemed both silly and surreal yet sad at the same time. The RAAC was hard enough on its own to swallow, but to learn he stopped the divorce proceedings months ago? That is moronic. Any husband would have moved out and had her served once she touched down in their home town after hearing her volunteer to star on the movie, let alone her sending him the video link. What happens afterwards is his choice. But the fact it happens relatively soon (a few months) with no communication, without him dating other people, while they are unknowingly still married (though why did she think she was divorced? Where was the decree?), and she sets up a "collision" with him in the grocery store, they fuck, she cums hard, and they are back together. Huh? Some of the LW tropes explored with Ramon and the MC are both poignant and hilarious. While size does matter, the brain matters more, especially love and attraction. Orgasms aren't just a function of friction, but mood, emotions, and the mind. To be fair, her commentary on the last page, especially when telling off Ramon is really mature and insightful. But getting to that point with Mike where suddenly they fall into bed together and all is well was farcical and not realistic. To be fair, Mike seemed to have less issue with the actual cheating but more about lack of self confidence. Seeing Ramon as a whiny little shit with a big cock helped Mike's confidence, among other things like exercise and his meeting with his wife where he saw she still desired him. Look the "new" Ellen is much wiser, much more heartfelt, and free of her porn obsession. Her obsession was to be a pornstar, not necessarily the actual sex itself, but fantasizing about being a pornstar. That obsession should have torched their marirage. No doubt. But the "new" Ellen is a very different person and realizes she acted like a crazed slut and was brain dead with her fixation. But people have memories and trust issues, not to mention insecurities and difficulty accepting truth when it is spoken by a cheater. This story does nothing to show how for such an outsized "public" betrayal, that "new" Ellen woukd even get a shot. To solve this the author tosses on a Deus Ex Machina meeting in the grocery store (though in reality she planned it) and wonderful makeup sex that heals all (that is the Deus Ex part). Regardless of how a reader feels about such a miraculous RAAC and the persistent examination of LW and porn tropes, it is befuddled that he did not divorce her right away. And actually stick with the divorce proceedings. He canceled them two months prior to the ending for the lamest of reasons and yet had no meaningful communication with Ellen before or during that time frame. So why woukdnhe stop? Again the proffered reason was lame. That being said was entertaining and Ellen certainly matured and wised up and was despondent over what her older "brain-dead" self did to Mike a d their marriage. Her realization after Mike failing to maintain elections and their post failed coitus talks were educational to her. Again the "new" Ellen is a much better and wiser person, but how does she even get a chance the way the story is written. Hard to see how that gap.would be bridged but especially hard to see why divorce proceedings were stalled. Seemed like a cheap out for shock value with the bigamy joke.

The story is imbeciles on several levels. The author is talented and must have been enthralled by the cartoonist aspects of the story.

I believe that the story is a kind of social satire, not meant to be serious. The husband comes across as a pathetic, sad clown; the type you see at the bar crying in his beer. So over the top it’s not plausible in the least.

As soon as she left for LA, as Bill Paxton’s character Hudson says in the movie “Aliens”, Game over man!

That in itself was grounds for divorce. Ellen returns from LA having destroyed the man she professes to love. Forget about children!

That being said, there is something compelling about the way Stev2244 writes his fiction. It reminds me of George Anderson and his “February Sucks” An unrealistic RAAC. Both wives were BTB’s I just don’t buy into the feasibility of reconciliation.

There is no question that Stev2244 is talented but I’d like to see him write a strong male MC.

But being apart for a few months, then they meet with her stalling him in a grocery store and they are off to the sexual races and all blocks are removed? Yeah the parts with Ramon showing up were kind of funny and she comes off as a "guy" with the whole "it was only sex" thing to Ramon. After all it was more about her being in a porn shoot fulfilling her obsession with her favorite porn stud. Good sex is about the physical. Great sex is about the ohgsical and the mind. Amazing sex is about the physical, the mind, and the heart. She coukd clearly only have the last two (great or amazing with her husband). But regardless of the sex part, how to rebuild trust (ok maybe treat it as temporary insanity)? What about her breaking her vows? What about why she became obsessed with porn and then with Ramon. I thought this story was pretty poor. Has nothing to do with it being raac or whatever, more to do with the writing. The progression was ridiculous, as were the conversations throughout. So many authors on here do not seem to be able to write dialogue that conveys their messages in a natural way. Much of the time, it reads as if your are just reading a person's overly detailed written thoughts instead of how people would actually talk in real conversation. That was the case here several times. Even when it wasn't like that, it still wasn't any good. I could only imagine these characters having minimal intelligence when taking everything into account. 1/5
