It's your padawan, Val McJames here. I was on my knees, too, with my heart breaking for poor Starling as she serviced that vile Baker or yearned for Pierce. And my heart and mind and body soared with the sweet, young redhead as Lacey gave the poor girl the comfort that I could not but so wished to. It is your insight into Starling's emotions that make me love her so and sympathize with her, and this makes the moments of peril that much sweeter. I can't bear to watch Starling suffer, and yet I can't look away either. You have me eating out of the palm of your hand, and I think we both love it! The detail of the oral sex and of the lesbian sex was so compelling, painting word pictures that made the scenes come alive for me. I bow humbly and learn from the master. So many lessons to learn from this chapter! Build in plot twists. Make things look hopeless for your heroine. Don't hold back on showing her emotions. Give the smallest details for intense scenes, such as during sex, or fights, or even the spanking (not my personal turn on, but then they did not mean it to turn-on Scarlet Dove either, hehe). I savor every word and smile. I sigh with contentment and allow the physical feelings to gradually subside. I hug Lacey for being so caring and compassionate to Starling (Lacey better not turn out to be a villainess!). I shudder to think of Starling's fate at the hands of Baker. I wait with baited breath and yearn for more, practically gasping and pleading for the caress of your words once again. I really love your stories and the blackmailing from Baker adds a new … flavor to the Scarlet’s adventures. Where she was usually overpowered here she had physically the possibility to escape her fate but she willingly went down, forced by her own morale code which makes it all the more enjoyable. To be honest I think it would have been even better if she didn’t give in so easily, if she struggled more or if she tried to negotiate or to threaten him, to show she will do anything but that. Or maybe if we had the blackmailing as a side story from the beginning, slowly creeping as each battle for justice fought by Scarlett gave a little more leverage to Baker (for any reason).

Anyway, you do realize that with such a teaser you will have to surpass yourself for the next issue? To bring us a great and unexpected story and to drag down the Scarlett Dove into new lows of humiliating despair and new highs in unwanted pleasure? Just so you know, no pressure.

Particularly liked the final scene between Starling and Lacey. The fact that Lacey was taking advantage of Starling's naivety and vulnerability, while actually caring for Starling, made it all the hotter. Please don't kill tht story thread off too quickly but see where it goes instead. Now that she's with Starling, Lacey won't simply retreat back to the shadows.

I'll preface this with saying that the only criticism I have was that the story felt a little 'small' after facing the epic might of Dominion and the threat he poses to the city.

That said, man what a blowjob that was. Some people here have said they hate seeing the Scarlet Dove treated that way. I won't lie, I love it. I love seeing her conflicted over her own feminine weakness and torn between wanting to be a hero and the urge to just admit she's a useless female. I love seeing her fall that far and then rise above it all (though still loosing a bit).

To be honest, if this story had a win for some of the bad guys I'd still be happy.

Surprised she hasn't ended up pregnant though after all this sex...the ultimate feminine weakness.
