All Comments on 'The Warlord's Kitten Ch. 05'

I loved the two and I know different races have different life spans but I didn’t expect to actual see mama die, I was hoping for a longer and more heart worming chapter, it breaks my heart to see kitty cry

So, first of all I'd like to commend the author on this story. I'm not usually particularly interested in trans or male leads to submissive fiction, but the incredibly skilled writing, interesting characters, well-explained world building, and hot sexual predicaments sold me on it (and I love petplay too).

The story itself is well laid out, and progresses in a manner that I wasn't entirely sure where things were going to go, and I liked that. Additionally, as mentioned previously, the story manages to keep the erotic elements varied and well-flowing so that they don't become repetitive or uninteresting.

I felt the last chapter flashed forward a little too quickly, and we could have done with a few more minor scenes establishing some of the later characters. Much the same, I think we might have benefited seeing another scene or two on the interactions between chapter 4 and 5. But, overall these are minor editorial nitpicks. I'll also say upfront that the epilogue had me bawling my eyes out. I know that it was sort of an inevitability, but it hits hard and then goes back to kick you when you're down as a reader. Still, I look forward to reading more of your work, especially the continuing story of Kitten (I hope she finds another Dom to look after her and have more petplay fun with).

@Hellfiredragons - Soooorrryyy~ I just never really felt that it ever made much sense for this story to have a 100% warm and happy ending. I personally don't even look at it as being ~that~ sad, they had 40 (mostly) happy years together! Most of us couldn't hope for more. Kitty will get over it. You don't live for over a thousand years and let yourself get too hung up on a single tragedy ;D

@JPmaggers - Petplay is one of my favorite things and my interest in it was probably one of the main reasons to write this story xD Thank you so much for the lovely comments, it makes it all worth it! I know the jump forward is a little fast, even though it was a long time period to jump across. The idea I had was that it probably seemed like a really short time to Kitty, too. Also, as I've mentioned, I like the idea of leaving Kitty and Momma open for me to write 1-shots for in the future (maybe if I ever do Patreon or commissions that'd be a good area to leave open for that, for instance). Then again, maybe that's all I'll ever write of Momma, who knows ^_^;;
