YELLOW Rose of Texas?

A thought just occurred to me - "Yellow Rose" indicates a "High Yellow" woman named Rose. I do believe that the song was written about a High Yellow woman - and the tale is taking on the White Supremacists? Sounds like a decisive battle going to take place in Texas....
