Anna, she's sitting on my chest, opening my jeans.

Laura grabbed the phone. "Listen sis, I'm going to be a little busy here for the rest of the evening. I've got my cell phone turned off, and after what mom did to me the other night, she can bang on the door until hell freezes over, and I'm not letting her in.

Enjoy Cloudy, have you set up your wedding date yet? I think you better get to it baby girl. I don't want both of us to show up at your wedding, and only one of us to be pregnant. Love you, Anna. Goodbye."

Laura looked at Adam with one arm out of his shirt and the rest of his body still in. One boot partially removed. The belt on his jeans opened.

"You didn't lie or overstate one thing. You told the truth straight down the line. I was taking off your shirt. I was removing your boot. I was opening your jeans. That is exactly what I did. When my sister tells my mother what I was doing, she is going to go nuclear."

"All women are insane."

Laura kissed Adam's lips. "Possibly, but we are worth it."

There Must Be A Mistake

Note: Hello again, I don't remember if the saying is 'Life imitates art, or Art imitates life, but what I will tell you is what I portrayed Doctor Even Luck going through at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston doesn't even touch the surface of what goes on there. How the staff of that hospital can work there every day, and keep such a positive attitude about life is beyond my comprehension. I'm only one of their patients, and during the week there must be 700 of us on an inpatient basis. I am on furlough now for three weeks, then I go back for another round. No one in our wing complains about hospital food. All we get to eat are ice cream shakes, sherbet's, and anything else we can keep down that will keep our weight up. I had a good line to put here, but I decided against it. It was too maudlin. PD10/ Bob

Great story. I do have an issue with all the mistakes with the right word. She didn’t go into a “close store” she went into a cloths store. Just one example.

Get well soon.

Bob, I could say that I know what you are going through, but even though I had Colon Cancer I do not know what you are going through. I was lucky by having a great Surgeon that got all of my cancer the first time, which meant no Chemo or radiation. Hang in there and do as your Doctors & Nurses tell you to do. I have really enjoyed all of your stories and looking forward for when you are able to submit your next chapter.

I had first read this story, and have since read your others here, then just re-read this one.

Doing this allowed me to understand the interwoven story lines, and better comprehend how the characters came to be. This made it all the better in the second reading.

You've done good work, and I hope that your medical situation resolves in a manner that allows you to continue writing. Whenever you can, I will be eagerly awaiting your efforts.
