I will put Doctor Finch's home and hospital extension number in the letter so you can talk to him directly. You don't have to bring any medical books with you. The computer has a full medical library for both doctors and nurses. We appreciate you coming along at such short notice."

"The next time you send a spaceship up Mister Valentino, I'll try to be younger."

"The next one leaves in 8 to 10 years, and it's going to be huge."

"I'm not going to be younger in 10 years."

"Neither am I Hannah, I'll see you December 25."

******************

"Dad, I think it's time for you to make the decision on Monty. We have seven weeks left, and if you don't say yes, I'm going to petition the board again to see if I can change some votes. I want her with me dad. Next to Zoey, she will be in the most important woman in that spacecraft with me."

"I told Monty of my decision shortly after you guys got back from vacation."

"Knowing how important that decision was to me, you didn't pass it along."

"I didn't believe it was any of your business. I told Monty, and if she wanted you to know, I thought she would tell you."

"She hasn't told me, and you haven't told me. I want to know the results of my petition."

"The results of your petition was 11 to 9."

"You voted for her to go with us."

"Yes I did."

"You knew this for three weeks, and you didn't tell me."

"I believe we just covered that territory."

"I will use the honor system today. I may even break moms record of $180. I'm going to run to work, because I have certain words that I want to say about two people that I don't particularly think they want to hear."

"Enjoy your run, son."

**********

Gordon opened the front door, wearing sneakers shorts and a T-shirt, and wearing his backpack.

Monty said, "I didn't know we were running to work today."

"I don't want you to run with me. Let someone else do it, because I am pissed at you. I think it would be a good idea if you stayed away from me today."

Monty grabbed him by the backpack and hauled him back into the house.

"Good morning Doctor Luck, Gordon is either going to be late to work today, or he may not be in at all. It seems we have some issues to work out, and there is no time like the present to do it."

"Enjoy yourself Monty, remember it takes 6 to 8 weeks for broken bones to heal, and we leave in seven weeks."

"In that case, let's hope he heals quickly. When you get to work Doctor, would you have Liz, Barbara, and Cathy returned here please."

"Are you going to play a rubber of bridge while he's in the ice bath?"

"I wouldn't do that while I'm at work Doctor. After I take them apart, and he blames it on my size, I'm going to let three smaller women take him apart, piece by piece. He thinks he's ready for the big time, and I'm going to prove to him he's not."

"I never said anything of the sort. I said I was pissed at you, and I am. You never told me my dad said you could come along with us. I worked my tail off to get you that approval, and you didn't have the courtesy to tell me you got it. That's all this morning was about. I'm angry at you. You are my best friend, and you didn't tell me."

"Is that what this is all about? I thought your father told you. Now I'm going to have to teach you a lesson, because you acted like a child. Go downstairs and warm-up, I am really angry at you now."

"Oh good, now we have something in common."

"Watch your mouth boy, or you won't be able to talk for a month."

"Good, this way I won't beat my mother's record."

I said, "Gordon do you want to be able to say I do at the wedding? If you do, I would advise you to shut up. I'll leave for work now Monty, and send those three women here as soon as possible. Try not to scramble his brains. We need that part, but Zoey needs another part of him in working order."

"We will keep that in mind Doctor Luck."

"Didn't I tell you to go downstairs and warm-up?"

"I'm thinking about it."

"Gordon Oliver Star Luck, what did you just say to Monty?"

"Good morning mom. I told Monty I was going downstairs to warm up."

"That's exactly what I thought I heard you say. What are you doing standing there?"

"I was going to kiss you good morning, before I die."

"Whatever happened before I walked down that hallway, I'm sure your death was earned many times over."

"I can't catch a break this morning."

"I have a feeling you may find many breaks this morning. The hospital is only eight minutes away, unless of course Monty takes the scenic route."

After kissing his mother good morning, Gordon said to everyone, "I started out this day with the intentions of getting my best friend onboard the spacecraft. As the proverb reminds us, "No good deed goes unpunished."

Chapter 28

There Must Be A Mistake

Note: There is no word yet as to when I am going back to Houston for my cancer treatments. The cardiologists made an error. After reading, and rereading the results of my scans, they informed me that I have damage to my heart wall. They want me to have a cardiac catheterization done here, close to home, and have the results sent to them. Since I have never had a cardiac condition, I do not have a regular cardiologist. They said they would take care of everything. I am awaiting a phone call.

In the meantime, I am writing like crazy to get as much in as possible. I was going to try to end this story in Chapter 29, but it doesn't look good. It will probably run over the Chapter 30, and then if I have to go to Temple Texas myself, I'm going to launch that thing bodily.

My mind is going in 17 different directions at one time over this mess, and if it is affecting my writing style, I apologize. I'm doing the best I can, considering my situation. I hope you enjoy chapter 28, and as soon as I turn it into Literotica, I will start on Chapter 29. Bob/P_D10

Get well wishes..

Bob, I have loved this story and all of the others right from the start. You are one of the best authors here. I hope and pray that your Doctors can get you healthy so you can finish this story and also get the second ship into space.

I sort of know what you are going through as I had a heart attack just over a year ago, I was told that it was Milimeters away from being fatal. I have worked very hard and made some changes in my lifestyle and have fully recovered. Proof it can be done.

I wish you the best of care and a speedy and full recovery.

They need to make a 7 or 8 star available for things like this. Well done again.
