I have never been a real fan of were stories. I like well written ones and your Down Under take is interesting and different. I hope you will continue this series. It deserves a complete telling. Thank you for your time and effort.

Neither Reginald nor Dave are suited to be Alphas.

The one is an arrogant man without the needed compassion, the other sees what is wrong but still allows it to happen. Weak individual. Besides that I think it was Reginald who killed his own parents - still Dave waits - what for?

I hope the story line gets more interesting.

The "Alpha, Beta ... Omega" B.S. we see in popular media is trite and based on bad science.

Among wolves you could just as easily label them father / mother, elder brother / sister, etc. The "pack" can just as easily be labeled family.

I'd love to see a "were" story based on the real animal's behavior. No mystically compelled mating or destined mate. No massive werewolf packs, just family groups. Were-tigers being antisocial loners. Were-bears being antisocial loners.

The main werebeasts here are not wolves, although some do appear in the story.
