Normally your stories have more drama. This one isnt really very good in that the plot is shallow and the solutions to simplistic. Exactly what was her reasons for taking her husband to a party and then having him ignore her? Being around people is a reason to be together not apart. Unless of course everyone at the party knew what was going on in their marriage and in that case she was the guilty party as he did not seem to be spreading the word. A woman spreading words about her failing marriage is a strange thing as it puts her in a place she would not want to be. The problems were caused by her actions and she should have bit the bullet and admitted it was his fault he had one brief affair. Instead she acted as if he were a wandering adulterous slut. Girls night out with divorced friends is always a bad idea. In most cases the divorced women are just looking for men, and that puts a married woman in a position to cheat, whether she wants to or not. But then morals and ethics do tell. What were the school girl like escapades of making the married husband jealous for, no woman who was mature would do such silly games. To much danger of the husband throwing not only the man, but also the wife out.
An earlier poster called the plot simplistic, but I must disagree. Actually the plot is quite novel for a 'Loving Wives' story. Quite an enjoyable little read.
I have to agree with "The Bullet." This was an enjoyable read with a twisted plot. This comedy of errors is not simple at all. Our hero gets suspicious of his wife's behavior. She's cold and seems withdrawn. Is she having an affair or has she stopped loving him? For all he knows she's going through menopause, but he concludes she's having an affair, so he has one himself. Ooops! She's not...so she tries to get even without stepping out of the marriage, but these episodes keep backfiring on her. I liked that he accepted responsibility immediately for his mistake (though I wonder if he would have confessed his affair IF his wife had not found out about it) and made no excuses for it. I liked that he kept protecting her no matter what. I liked that he never thought of leaving and kept fighting for the marriage. Someone called this a simple plot, I think not.
Thank you, winterfrog, for an enjoyable story.
Well this is certainly something new. Here we have a case where the husband misreads the situation and he ends up using it as an excuse to cheat first! .
I appreciate the new and different angle used by this author.

My only constructive comment would be that the cooling off period seems to only lasted about a month or two in the story... and after 10 years of marriage that hardly seems like enough of a reason to be convinced that your wife is cheating. In this story the husband had searched and checked for clues in the usual locations and found nothing. The fact that his wife might have been somewhat preoccupied and therefore cool towards him for a month ...comes across as a BIG leap to then conclude that she must be cheating.

In my opinion this story needs more detail as to WHY the husband came to such a stupid conclusion that was totally unfounded by any evidence. The husband's character does not seem to be that of a moron so why he makes such a leap based upon absolutely no evidence and a slight cooling period in his 10 year marriage with his wife seems to make little sense.
writers to shame by making a story about a man that still has his balls intact.
A bit of a different twist. I tried to come up with some constructive comments but all I can say is keep up the good work.
The husband in this fantasy is a very lucky man to have a woman who loves him enough to want to make the marriage work. The excuse of “my wife doesn’t have a need for me anymore and is getting ready to dump me,” doesn’t give us a real reason to give the husband any wild cards to do whatever he thinks makes up for his mistrust. It was used to get us into the plot but I wished you could have found a way of making his suspicions more likely. Yet that said, I love the difference of it not being the normal night out with the girls, or the late night work, etc. I am not a writer with a vivid imagination, so my critique of a different or added suspicion should not be given any real value.
The wife’s shutting the husband out and saying it was a family matter was despicable and needs delving into how she sees her relationship with her relatives. We are given one thing that is not in doubt that she loves her husband completely just what the hell is a family to her? It was a very forgiving woman who accepted so little to know she wanted to keep her husband in the marriage. She has shown her love is above and beyond reproach as she has given her all to her lover and spouse.
It brings to my mind that if these two had been in reverse and the wife had acted like the husband did, we would hear people calling him a wimp for staying in the marriage. That scenario I have no doubt we would have heard from some and the zeros would be attached. Oh well, we all have our own bent on what is fair as the double standard lives on.
It was a delight to read as you transported me into being there to experience your story. Thank you for the entertainment and I look forward to more fantasies as you find the time.
PT
This was a nicely constructed story that made me wish for more.

I have read all the winterfrog stories several times and have mostly appreciated the writing as well as the outcome where the wronged party was done right. With this story I have mixed feelings, as if something is missing. Are you sure that her distant behaviour was only due to her "family matters". Otherwise, his cheating is just a shallow reaction on a gut feeling which was never proven. She can forgive him that easily that it makes me wonder. Also, her statements about the party to stay away from her, to not intervene, etc... make no sense if she did not act upon it.
Like said, something seems to be missing. Maybe some revisiting ? G.Belgium
Enjoyed it along with most all of this author's stories. Thank you for taking the time to create & post them.
and thanks a lot for the children`s names in the Astrid Lindgren year.

My problem was with the husband too. He seemed pretty smart and quick on the uptake, but with no proof he decided if he wife was cheating he'd get in on the game as well. But what hurt the story for me was that she "wasn't" cheating, she was having some work related problems, and then he was the only cheater

For some reason that just bothers me. If the shoe was on the other foot, alot of men would be saying divorce her, but now that "he" cheated due to a misunderstanding, everyone is "wow what a great loving story because they worked it out". Why?

I guess him sitting in a corner waiting for her to take him back just didn't seem like enough for me. He needed to actively prove he was sorry. Not just say "Sorry I'll wait till you want me back" like he did in the story.

I always like a good Winterfrog story, but this one felt kinda incomplete. Like the husband did the bare minimum required to stay married after he cheated on his wife

I'm not a big fan of Winterfrog's writing but this is a good story. Thank you.
Unlike the previous commenter, I am a big WF fan. This made me wonder how much of a double standard is involved when the husband instead of the wife cheats. I'm not saying that the wife should not have taken the husband back. This all points out the importance of good communication in a marriage.

As others have mentioned, it is refreshing to have a husband screw up and do something he regrets by reading the signals incorrectly. I'd say Rebecka did get some measure of revenge - at least to the extent that she could - and was refreshing that she decided to keep her marriage together.
If the roles were reversed, would the outcome be the same...naaah,,,doubt it...double standards are hard to break...
On qualifying. If we'd played as well against Iceland and Latvia it might have been us. Maybe see you in the World Cup if we get past the middle Europeans
just to get that "bitch" (who hated blue collar workers, although she herself worked in her parents little shoe store!), so they could go to another party, when she hated him and he hated her? with all their respective friends looking at them, she accepted the cheap malt from him, and said yes to his challenge to go to another party, IMMEDIATELY, leaving the friends, who were looking at them, and how they had that little exchange at the door?

i mean, was that what the intro to this story said?
Yes there seems to definitely be a double standard here at work. They had problems, he tried to talk to her about them and she refused or denied there was anything to discuss. He should have then either threatened divorce or tried to catch her with a lover. Instead he became unfaithful, now she can never really trust him as everything he does and says will be suspect. Had this been a woman cheating her ass would've been thrown to the curb or we would all be screaming for her blood. Just because he is a man should not afford him different treatment. He obviously doesn't love her as much as she thought he did, she doesn't love him either or she would have told him of her problems. They should have divorced and moved on to a happier life with new loves.
The shit have hit the fan !!!!!
I think this one was very good. Yes, there was a double standard and yet we heard nothing from BILLYTHEGER, ZEDO, or the other Nony Mouses who normally scream Torch the Bitch! Actually, I think this type of reaction is very typical for men who feel slighted, ignored, treated badly, and especially ignored sexually all of a sudden. Generally, I think it true that when a man is ignored by his wife he will immediately think about getting such attention elsewhere with a one-night stand. This is true for wives as well but maybe less so then men because they need more than a one-night stand. I sometimes think and have heard that men have very fragile egos and are even more emotional than women at times. This story is very real and it does happen this way more often than not. Women have had to accept cheating men to keep their family intact for centuries. Of course, this wife will have trust issues for a long time. My own wife internalizes "all" of her problems and does not easily talk about them. It has caused me distress for years and only now when we are old does she share more. Keep up the high quality of your stories Winterfrog. I found you only a couple of years ago and reacted differently to your stories at first because they were so different than ours. I am reading all of them again and have changed my opinions and started respecting you as a great author this time around.
Rewrite your comments in Winterfrog's native language. Do it fluently, and I'll apologize for thinking how ignorant you now look. Rich
But this is still a marriage without communication. Mostly on Rebecca's unwillingness to confide in her husband. I really don't think that she understood that he was only a few steps from walking out the door. The cheating should have been seen as a wakeup call by Rebecca, that she was no longer taking care of her man.
I would have liked the story better if the husband had not cheated and just left for a while, until Rebecca got her head screwed on. Thank You, for a good story.
she is a cheater and would be divorced you cant love a woman like that cause she don't truly love her husband
what story he read! If we were to apply the normal rant to the story, she should kick him to the curb. You know, once a cheater always a cheater----- But I do feel it is a fine story and strangely enough I think that he should have asked for a divorce because he can not trust her..... to tell him about important things. You see I have this thing about liars..
Only an absolute dildo would be dumb enough to cheat on his wife because he 'thought' she was cheating on him even though there was absolutely no proof.
If proof is found, then a divorce ensues followed by a new life. Then you're free to bang anyone you want. Morons like the guy in this story make me want to puke.
Well written as usual but not enough punishment for the cheating asshole jerkoff husband. He suspected but found absolutely no evidence of her being unfaithful but he went ahead anyway and fucked around. Asshole.
I hate cheaters.

How many woman have unknowingly raised a child that was their husband's but not biologically their's? Answer: 0. Flip the question: at least thousands, if not millions. Double standard - I'm not a good enough liar to claim that, but maybe you are reader. We all know the basis of the standard, stop trying to hide behind the clear truth. There is a difference, and we all know it. Grow up.
... First let us be clear. He didn't decide to cheat because she cheated or he thought she was cheating? No. he thought they were though and he was going to be dumped. This is a man of action; suffering with her obvious lying with out taking action would be counter to his nature. For those two reasons he had to do something, even if it was the wrong. At first he tried doing the right thing and talk it out, but instead of communication he got denials that there was a problem. This combination, along with the temptation of the sympathetic ear of a beautiful and willing woman lead to his shedding his morality and setting aside what he thought was his already lost wife. His transgression lasted only lasted one night. Afterward he made no attempt to purse her or some other. His wife's transgressions lasted months. Kudos on well told story Mr. Winterfrog, the main character was well fleshed out, believable and likable. Panther Fan.

My default position tends to be against reconciliation, since most times at least in the stories here the cheating is not only a one time event.
This was a one time, one night stand.
He was already convinced by his wife's actions that she had fallen out of love with him and was going to dump him.
He did not set out to cheat but loneliness and despair from thinking his marriage was over left him weak and vulnerable.
After ten years of marriage Rebecka did not consider her husband to be her family?
Okay, the tables were turned - it was the husband who cheated this time. Did you notice he used the same common cliches other cheaters use? LOL. I don't have any heartburn with this reconciliation; he didn't set out to do it, there was no planning, and it was a one night stand. He didn't tell her about it until she found out, but he immediately fessed up. She played a small part in it by convincing him he was about to be dumped - but only a small part. The fault was his and he was at her mercy, within reason of course.
I do have a problem with the wife bringing another guy into the house to "tease" him. No way that works. Ever. You only do that if you're going the divorce route and want to hurt your spouse before throwing them out. There's no way for the husband to win in that situation; if he allows it to happen in front of him, then the wife and lover lose all respect for him. If he beats the crap out of the guy, it tends to piss off the wife, plus the husband usually gets to spend some time in jail, plus the lover is now free to bang his wife while he's in jail, and when he finally gets bailed out, the wife usually has a restraining order in place to keep him away from the house.
I think what she did was potentially more devastating to their marriage than what the husband did. Potentially. It worked out well in this story, but trying that in real life would just be incredibly stupid. He didn't rub her nose in his affair, he didn't make her watch. There's just no comparison. What was she planning to do when the porno started anyway? Were they going to make out? Rub their hands all over each other's bodies? Partially strip? What did she think he'd do when he saw that? Is there anyway in the world that could possibly strengthen their marriage?
Glad it worked out for them. The way Winterfrog wrote this story, they seem to really care about each other, all affairs and "teasing" notwithstanding. Good story WF!
Should have thrown both of them out of the car and been done with her then.
An entertaining, if somewhat light-weight, story that somehow managed to antagonise the moronic 'anti-cuck' trolls.
She didn't cheat on him - he cheated on her - so how was he a cuckold????
Had to point out that little fact, but I suspect the 'anti-cucks' don't really care what the woman has or hasn't done. She's a woman and the dickless wonders simply hate women and seeing even the most innocent and virtuous woman suffer brightens up their sad little lives.

Now he knew who told his wife about his cheating,it wold have been easy to work backwards and find out which one of his friends blabbed and then beat the sit out of him like he did with Nick and Tommy.
couples are not immune to marital difficulties bordering on ludicrous, TK U MLJ LV NV
Garbage, how can anyone tell Annelie that he cheated because there was no evidence .But why didn't the wimp ask Rebecca what evidence she had besides unproven gossip.
End paints a lovey dovey picture but he should not have let himself be treated like a doormat, she as share some blame.Plus any man with a backbone would have starting trying to find out who blabbed and taught him the error of his ways.
I would not cover for a cheater and would not be friends with a piece of shit who would
I don't always behave as good as should but HONOR very important to me and I try to keep my self respect
He fucked up badly No excuses
She screwed up by not telling him about work but still quite a distance between
You have my blessing to not agree
But my ideals even when don't always live up to them won't change
He Fucked Up
Silly, for shoe shop problem Wife refuse 'sex'
Husband is real 'thick head', find a 'damsel in distress',& fucked all the way,
presuming "two negative will make one Positive"
What a fuck !!!
What her problem was. Her husband did nothing wrong. At least, going by all your other stories, he did nothing wrong. He just fucked some slut. All she had to do was find out who he fucked, give her a hard kick in the pussy, punch her in the face, and then forgive her husband, and go on as if nothing ever happened. Just like all your other stories.
Winter frog is a Scandinavian… and I guess their liberal attitudes to sex seems so unworldly for us! But despite all this I have no doubt that this MC was a piece of shit… he goes and fucks another woman at the first chance of trouble in their marriage… and then tried to claim the high ground!! What a pathy ass
Ok but a bland story. I am amused with moronic moralizing about fictional characters from imbeciles writing comments.
Gave this a four primarily because the MC had an one nighter even when he had no evidence that his wife was cheating. And, Never cheat as revenge even when you know there is cheating going on. BTB instead.
I would have given it a five because I like the way the MC dealt with the scum with a bit of the old ultra-violence.
