The first chapter of Ugly Duckling was lovely, heart-rending and emotional. The next two chapters, although well-written, were a bit disappointing concentrating as they did on sex (and personally I can never understand the attraction of anal sex). This chapter was, in part, on the way back to square one with Rachel's insecurities chaining her down and Kira's wonderful efforts to persuade her lover that there is beauty in all of us if we do our best to see it. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel, hoping that it's as enjoyable as this.
