He also felt confused because while he and Ashley were in what most would consider an open relationship, although with magic involved it was a lot more complex, he genuinely loved her. He wasn't sure what to do but he had some time to think about it until Corvac returned. No one knew how long he would be gone but Alex hoped it would be a few days to give him time to think. Once Corvac returned it was unlikely to be peaceful for a while.
