A bit of a common scenario but very well told. I liked the interesting touch of moving on from a moment in time rather than a love, marriage and babies ending.

Beautifully written story. I loved it!!!

For me, those who didn't like it haven't much for an imagination. As I read it I could feel the cold and all that goes with frigid temperatures. Living in northern Minnesota as i do and having seen all sorts of homeless people, one's heart can't help but go out to these folks. My only wish for the story would have been to see what happened to the young waif after she left his home.
