Refreshing

The ones who think themselves beautiful or sexy so often are not. But those who think they are not beautiful or sexy so often are.

The heroine is, in her own eyes, anything but. Old, but not old.

Your story is much more enjoyable to read than many here, and not only because of the apparent contradictions. Well written.

Nice build up

I liked the build up of the characters, just enough background to understand where she was coming from and why the reservations. Sweet story.

Loved it!

Me, being a soon to be 50 year old I loved the story! It sucked me in with the descriptive emotions and I felt the respect behind the words.

Great writing!

Lovely...and hot

You are one of those rare writers on Lit that I (hopefully un-creepily) stalk. As a 50+ male on here, so lovely, romantic and hot. Thank you & 5 stars

Such a wonderful story. age isn't detrimental to love, romance and the plain, old 'I'm-horny-and-want-to-fuck-right-now'. Definitely worth 5 stars

You have such a distinct writing style, and at the same time you are so imaginative and capable of writing so many different kinds of stories. That's a difficult combination to pull off, so kudos to you for that.

This was a very sweet story. I enjoyed the description of the skydive. I also feel pretty confident in saying that's as close to real skydiving as I'll ever get!

Fun read, thank you.

Such a touching, brave little story. Sweet, for you, but still laced with the sadness, the sharp pieces of rough glass, that I love about your writing. You never give things out easily, to the reader, or to your characters; it adds an element of realism to your work that is simply wonderful.

This is such an actual story, about people, about time and sex and love. Sure, it's got some dramatic liberties, but at it's heart, it's a piece about beauty, about intimacy and the way affection grows and changes but still always stays the same in some little corner of our hearts.

Your descriptions are getting better, as well. You have some parts in there that are just sublime. Smooth, beautiful stuff. You are moving well beyond just telling stories. As hard as you want to be on yourself, you have poetry in there now, sentences that sing and paragraphs that dance.

Pretty soon, you will have to name yourself a writer or it will come off as false modesty. ;)

Excellent job.

I thought I was a good writer -- and I am; I get paid handsomely for my expertise.

I thought I was a good writer -- and I am; I get paid handsomely for my expertise. But, now I'm humbled. I could not write this, not even now after having just read it. This piece captured, killed and buried me; then it resurrected me. This was as perfect as anything could possibly be. You are a superior writer, maybe the best writer I've come across. I'm at a loss for kudos big enough, or loud enough, to convey my admiration for your work. -- John

Now I Know !!!!!

Our youngest son has had the jumping experence at least 600 times ( 82nd Airborne ) and he has tried to tell us how it feels but your story says it better than any other explanation.

Outstanding story. We give it a 5 STAR PLUS.
