Some day you're going to have to let us know the significance of the name. This is a great story, though - hopefully Chris and Ethan can pop out a few more rug rats.
And I thought "Binding Ashes," was gonna be your only romance. Well Done, very well done indeed. Keep up the good work.

i saw this on the new stories list and i'm so glad i stopped to read it...very sweet and moving. thanks for sharing.
The characters were more realistic and the story line was great. Well done!
This is one fine story, I am impressed and can't wait for more. With only three stories done, two are damn near classics in the romance category. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. It is a pleasure to find a talented author and I will always look for your stories from here on.
Don't see any way to improve on this: great dialog, sweet story, conflict (and resolution), nice story, great writing.
Okay, find a publisher and let me know when I can find your stuff at Borders.
Kind regards, Jack

I couldn't resist!

Wetapap
you can write a mean tale - I sure enjoyed it. It shows that a tale can be written without sex slamming you in the face. I thought you developed the charaters of the people in a good style. I am only sorry for Helen getting left out in the cold. Will look for more of your tales
I agree with Daielkitten on this. "Bravo and a job well done!" Can't wait for more stories. I enjoy stories that are both well written and you can actually feel the emotions. You are one of the best writers here in my opinion. Keep up the good work!
your story is nice-- unfortunately I'm afraid it does not touch me in the same way as wetap. that is class.
What's with you? I've spent the night reading your stories, and now I look like a prune. I can't afford one more wrinkle, darn it! *sobs* Just *sob* beau-sobs-ti-sobs-ful!
This is the best story ever, it was so sad, so emotional..*sniff sniff*
Hi
Congrats
Here is romance, right? And this is romance at its best.
Fernando
you have my heart swelling. no beautiful princess, no prince charming. just ordinary people w/ their quirks and insecurities.
beautifully done. Kudos!
it's not every author whose every work is so satisfying. I am left with a level of pleasure and gratitude which makes me want to convey some sense of it to you, particularly as it includes everything you have submitted, each submission different from the others, but all equally of such quality as to bring out the comments I see by others, stirred, as I am by your heartfelt perception and description ! So, please give us more to enjoy and remember...Ericke
the first time around. What a great story. The characters were so believable that I felt as if I knew them.
This old man was deeply moved as I read this unique tale. Please keep on with your wonderful talent. This one will be saved to be read again and again.
with all the others : another great story. Direct in the every day "romance", ordinary human and believable characters, it has it all. Your usual and high standard writing excells again. G.Belgium
and I really enjoyed both times! Your new story provoked me
into the reread. The other could have been in the Loving Wife
category but the name Wetapap drew me to read a Romance. I had memories of Richard and Amber! Expand it, we will all enjoy it!
it is already written, if you get a chance, read 'binding ashes'
... I can't say it enough. You have an extraordinary sense for words and situations. Beautiful tale. You catched my soul. I love words too. You can paint everything with them.

Sincere regards

I have truly enjoyed reading this and other story. I don't plan on stopping anytime yet. I'm gonna read the third one next. I do have one question. Did you ever explain what Wetap means? Or did I miss it? I think I have to reread the first story, which I will not mind doing at all! Thanks for sharing your creativity and imagination!!
Thanks for not wasting my time... this story was exactly what I was in the mood for. Thank you!
This one and Binding Ashes are truly great stories. Even you third one was good if not as great. Looking forward to any more you may give us... thanks
W,
Again. Whew! That effort to write and share with us was not "Wasted Time".
Thank you again for sharing. Now I'm headed for #3 of the series tonight.

Excellent story, good writing but PLEASE find a good proofreader who can spell and review grammar.

This was one REALLY GOOD story...very few move me to tears...this one did...I'm a father and grandfather...no one hurts my kids..no matter what age they are...very good read..thanks.
I was born in the 1990s
Yet I already have that mentality. After you looh out for little ones, it gets to the point where the instinct just comes.
God help whomever harms my friends family or (hopefully) children, because then I will be like Patton.
Thank you for such a great story.
You are a master among masters
I loved this story, from start to finish. The way you wrote it, the characters. I loved the ending, when they finally figured out that they were meant for each other. I would read a story that was written the same way :)
that this is your best story of all. Outstanding. I usually don't care for your 'no-ending' stories and this is one of those. Yet, this one left me with an ending satisfaction.
Did not like the characters with their lack of humanity, or at least lack of ability to communicate like ordinary humans would with each other.
Interesting new concept for humans - you know lol
I had work based conversation about accountability and the fact that some people do not just need but want to accomplish and perform and get things done - RIGHT.
They have standards and beliefs and sometime is hurts to live them - but you do it because you feel it is the RIGHT way to be - Nice Work
Many thanks for sharing your efforts - please do more -
I am far from enamored with Ethan. He is rude beyond belief.
Certainly not a waste of time to read this story. I found it very moving and actually fought off my emotions several times. Very well written but would like to have seen Ethan's caracter have a little more compassion. Please keep writing more about Wetap, it is a great series.
I just spent the last hours reading you romance submissions. All that I can say is that they are great. They are well crafted, written, and show real heart. Thank you for all of your efforts.
Awesome story line, superb writing, realistic throughout and even better then Hallmark!
Boy, when you hit a home-run, it is out-of-the park. What a fantastic story. I really enjoyed this one. Liked the writing, the characters, and everything else about this story. Thank you for such a good story.
Impossibly decent, but that's the nature of a fairy tale, ain't it.
Good tale, well told
Thank You
HP
You could add a few more chapters about,"Super Daddy", and mommy, as-well-as finishing Greg off in the process.
that I didn't know was a series.
If anything can be said for certain, there are no ordinary people at wetap, and Cinderella seems to be a recurring theme.
rightbank has it "right". I didn't know this story is part of a series of stories...
Good Story. I wish to heck I knew what "Wetap" means, but regardless, this is a very nice story. Thanks to the author.
What happened to Amber and Richard? Is there a sequel? Liked the story. Didnt think I would, but then couldnt stop reading.
I really like this premise, but I think it deserved a little more space to breathe. Felt like the span of time all this happened in was kinda unrealistic. Like it well enough though, but that's just 'cause I'm a sucker for this particular stuff.
You should know if you've read many stories on this site that they aren't 'Gone With The Wind '. That's why I luv it, it's full of stories that tell the tale without using 400 pages.
Thanx, Wetap for a great story, and a very nice trilogy, so far😊
...to this story is:
The Scrapbook.
Actually, it is not a proper sequel, since it does not continue any plot or storyline from this story.
It is just the next story that has something to do with wetap.
Binding Ashes and also Wasting Time,
do provide a bit of background for The Scrapbook.

The only thing I don't like in this story is older man younger woman. When she reaches prime sexually and ready to rock and roll he will only want to roll over and go to sleep. THAT'S A FACT! It's a damn shame youth is wasted on the young.
What a terrible deus ex machina at the end. Contrived.
I love a good romance, but the ending strained credibility to the breaking point. IF they stayed together, and that's a huge IF, they would not be lovey-dovey again for quite some time. Trust takes time to be rebuilt, and Ethan's trust would have been badly injured by what HE SAW. There would be tremendous doubt about her STORY of what happened, coupled by her actions the night before.
Ferinstance, he told her to keep Greg away. So WHY did she open the door for him ?
I have read thousands of stories on literotica and this story and binding ashes are the only ones i have given five stars.
Damsel in distress. Cute children. A noble hero. I suppose I grow sentimental. Ì loved it.
The author has written a classic Romance, and written it well.
Plot, clearly defined characters, and strong enough that this editor did not even look for errors.
This is one to read more than once. It's in my excel file of excellent stories.
The Hoary Cleric.
