Seriously why all all werewolves written as crybaby assholes. The only way they woo is to claim that they would die if they are rejected. The Alpha in this story at one point is said to be wise but blackmails a pack member to get someone's phone number. They claim to love their mates but they always put their (male) happiness first. There is a saying that if you love something you let it go and if they come back they were yours and if they didn't they were never yours to start with. The mate pull is used as a crutch by writers. Someone should write a different view point

more back story

I love stories that focus on more than just the main two characters, so I love that you brought Jack and Emile's journey into this story, but I wish I had a better understanding of what happened to Emile (yes I know she was turned against her will) and why she hatesJack so much. Or is it just a general hatred for werewolves?

Emily?

In the first chapter, I read Emile as a mans name. Is this pronounced Emily?

Interesting characters!

I like how you are starting this story. Also, adding Jack and Emile to the story makes a wonderful addition! Keep writing, because I can't wait for the next chapter✔️

Anon- more backstory in the next chapter, sometime next week

Sister Robin- Aren't names funny? I went to HS with a girl named Emile, so I never considered it a man's name... and it is pronounced like Emily :)

Emile had me exhausted after reading this chapter. She must feel a load off her back after talking to her wolf.

I like both parts of the story and how they are progressing. Of course i love a good werewolf story anyday. Keep it up, I`ll be watching for the next chapter. :)

Emile's story

Heh - when I first read the name "Emile" (and I pronounced it Eh-meal), I wondered - why Carly was getting into a guy's car, considering she's Blake's mate? Then I thought, maybe he is a friend, or a brother, and not a rival love interest. And then in this chapter, it became clear that Emile is a she. Now that I'm clear who Emile is, she seems kind of neurotic, which makes sense if she's been denying who she is and keeping her wolf chained up. As her wolf says, Emile needs to find out who she is - to not be afraid of herself. And as Carly is the Alpha's wife-to-be, I'm pretty sure she'll help Emile. Great story so far!

Whiskey

Love the story! When drinking such a fine whiskey, it should be known that it's just Jameson. No need for an 's.

Keep up the interesting story,

Werewolf and whiskey lover.

Emile (fr.male Eh-meel) threw me at first, also.

Look forward to back story info now that you have us involved. As to the other comments re the guys being jerks...that often comes with the territory of leadership positions. When is everyone ever happy with decisions made for them? And power does get a little too easy to wield. In the were-trope it is tricky to balance the protective/sensitive alpha and the warrior/leader alpha roles, and the best alphas have both in bucket loads. Your balance is good.

Your females are banged-up and bruised by life but not weak. I look forward to them becoming even stronger. And being part of a team is not weakness, it strengthens all individuals.

wonderful

people concern themselves with the spelling of her name???? That is so silly in context to the story. I am loving it this time too.

That name confused me quite bad, too.

But the story is good and well-written. The psychological aspects are set up and developed wonderfully.
