Click hereI was nearly asleep when he spoke again, "Can I ask you another question?"
"Mmmmhmm," I said, curious but exhausted.
"Do you still hate me?" he nervously asked.
I looked up at him. He had such a serious look on his face, and I was surprised to see how important this was to him. I didn't have to look inward to know my answer. I reached my head up to his cheek and lightly kissed his lips. "No," was all I said.
He smiled and kissed me again. "Last question-" he said, and I groaned, rolling over so my back faced him. "Why did you hate me so much?"
I sighed. I was too exhausted to get into this tonight. "Goodnight, Reginald," I whispered, snuggling back against him.
He chuckled and pulled me into him, accepting my choice not to respond. "Sleep well, Killer," he replied, and we passed out.
The third chapter in this outstanding epic is marvelous, with a well-crafted plot and excellent character development. The romantic atmosphere that pervades the chapter throughout shows that this story could just as easily (and perhaps better) be placed in the Romance category. Five stars for excellent story telling and writing.
