I feel like you're setting up a HEA with Chance instead of Reed.

I love this story. I'm not sure who I'm hoping for, Chance shouldn't have been a jerk about it, but maybe he'll redeem himself by actually trying to stay in contact when brandon is out of town. I just can't see how he could get over reed being so cold to him when reed was cheating. Anyways, looking forward to the last chapter!! You are a great author!

I am so glad to know the history between Chance and Brandon. It gives the reader a way of Choosing who they want Brandon to be with. Brandon messed this one up with Chance by not telling him it was business. Chance messed up with not giving Brandon a chance to tell him about it being a business deal. Reed needs to let Brandon decide what he wants out of life. This is a very great story and I am waiting for the next saga to play out. Keep writing and be happy!!!!

... Brandon will end up with Chase. More and more I get the impression that Reed just wants him back for business. It's true that Brandon and Chase need to get to know each other first, but at least they can both be themselves. Brandon won't have to change for Chase, at least not when it comes to his behavior and things he likes. True, Chase wants to stay in the country... but so does Brandon deep down. Why else would he be building his dream house there?

So, yep. Team Chase all the way!

I just noted I wrote "Chase" instead of "Chance" in my comment. Silly brain, just last week I read two stories featuring a Chace and a Chase respectively. ;)

I really like the writing and flow of this story. That being said, I started feeling unsettled with Brandon the last chapter and more strongly so this chapter. Brandon seems to me to be the one emotionally unattached. At first it seemed he needed time to process the end of his relationship with Reed and the broken trust, as well as the death of his dad, but now I wonder if he ever has emotionally committed fully to anyone. Has booze gotten in the way? Remember how he 'forgot' his dad was also a father figure to Reed? How do you forget that about the love of your life? All of this team Reed team Chance seems to have taken away from the very little Brandon has invested in either man. In this chapter he was callous to Chance. There isn't a possible reason besides denial and avoidance that he didn't clear up the confusion over the pending trip. Even if Brandon isn't sure himself what he wants, he knows how Chance feels and could have addressed his own uncertainty. And With Reed, Brandon told him very directly to stay away. Reed cheated. He is trying to earn back trust (which, by the way, I think he deserves). He is doing exactly what Brandon asked by staying away and giving him space, but now Brandon thinks this shows he somehow doesn't care? And, Brandon was upset at the beginning of the story over all the $ and what it represented as far as the loss of his and Reed's relationship. Well, now he wants to 'insure his nest egg' which is an eye popping amount! During his last trip to New Orleans, Brandon seemed to gloss over Reed recreating his condo in the same style as their first home or seeming startled but happy Brandon declined a drink at the condo. Then Brandon over drank at dinner. Finally, both men kissed him with passion. Did he kiss either back that way? Mmmmm

I already know the outcome since majority of the fans want that ending not only that but Chance was around during one of Brandon's worst periods of his life (his father passing away). In all other media the one who was there during someones roughest patch of their lives is usually the one the protagonist ends up with.

I was always rooting for Reed (no idea why since he fucked up big time sleeping around during their relationship) but I'm preparing myself for the inevitable.

In saying that I like Chance so good for him.

I am so angry right now!!!! First Brandon's all nostalgic about his high school days and Chance, and then effin Reed calls and asks for his help and he just brushes off Chance like he was yesterday's news AND HE KNOWS WHAT HE DID!!!! And Chance! He just nade an assumption that Brandon's still in love with Reed and just flips him off. I was initially on team Chance but now, honestly, i don't know. Btw me ranting like this just means that this story is extremely entertaining, so good job ;) please continue the story. And publish faster. Please. PLEASE. i love you

I know he cheated and it is hard to come back from that but I really think he is trying to do the right thing by Brandon and I think he should be given another chance to prove how sorry he is and how much he loves Brandon. I believe they can go back to how they were in the beginning without all the added social pressures that was interfering .

Plus the flower he sent totally won me over that he cares deeply for Brandon

I don't get the whole Team Reed thing, he just sounds like an arrogant, controlling, self-involved, schmuck. Plus, if I remember correctly, he never did tell Brandon if he used condoms when with John. (Personally, I would not trust a cheat to be honest about that either and would definitely be tested.)

Chance on the other hand has proven himself to be a kind and gentle soul - from how he so attentively takes care of his mom back to high school when he acted as Brandon's protector.

Not at all happy with the Brandon character for just brushing off Chance's feelings. He not only did nothing in the least making to make an effort either in clarifying why he was going to N.O. or establish that he would like to talk things out with Chance once he returns. SMH
