While the story theme and mind control might not be everyone's cup of tea, I really admired your writing style and clever turns of phrases that added texture at the right moments...the polished stone and deranged mouse in particular. Poetic! Also a fairly intricate plot for this site, achieved in a short space but didn't feel rushed at all. Enjoyable read thanks.
