I greatly enjoyed this story, and that is all I have to say.

I love your excellent writing style... everyone knows that there is no such thing as vampires but it still makes for a good storyline.... I could very easily see this as a movie.... it flowed quite easily but i wish we had learned a little more about dante (why was he at his old home town, why the other vampire was so angry with him, why did they wanted to kill each other) BUT .... Levi was very believable as his replacement... I enjoy a good work of fiction writing. Keep up the excellent job.. Jane

Awesome...everything you need for a truly GREAT story..a couple in love, a bit of danger, a dash of violence and hot sex all combined for a KILLER story. I have to applaud Wildcat, I truly do. I kept thinking once I read that Levi was a Cherokee that he was actually Dante reincarnate. I was completely fooled. And then Jackson sought Marina out? EXCELLENT! I LOVED this story. You've got yourself a fan Wildcat..can't wait to read more! :D

This is truly the best vampire story for me! It goes from touching to inspiring, from sexy to moving,..and with all kind of actions!This was simply the best thing I have read in a very long time!

Strong characters, plenty of conflict, hot sexual scenes, and romance.

Not to be the wet blanket, but I think you need an editor -- there was a lot of verb-tense changing going on that really threw me. And while the plot was good, I wasn't floored. I do enjoy the vampiric theme though.

Loved it. All to often you find a good story but then it ends too soon. Thought the vampires being able to bleed out abit strange but to each their own.

I will say hot, one too many times, but this offering was. Boiling, searingly hot. Somebody sign me up. I want a bite like that. And (forgive me) get sucked to death, then fucked back to life. wow, I look foreward to your next offering. I think it came straight form the heart. ha ha ha

was beautiful, and enjoyable. And to speak as to critisism. It's not bad to tell an author that he might need some help with tenses and word usage. Where instead of were, etc. It's called being constructive. I think if you were to write something like this again, get it edited and you won't have the tense changes or the problems with spelling. I enjoyed your piece. Keep writing. This shows a lot of thought and a lot of work.

This is not a new submission. I've read it before and the fact that it has won a contest makes me doubly certain that I've read it. Good story but it's not new.

The sex was especially good with the intensity involved...the lust between the characters practically jumped off of the pages! Thank you.

I loved this story, it was romantic and hot and had a quality of believability that is difficult to convey in a paranormal story. The characters were real and I could feel their emotions. An exceptional story, would love to read any others you write. Apart from the few errors that an editor would spot this story must be one of the best I've read in a while.

This is the first time I have left a comment after reading a story here. I loved your tale, I was moved, feeling so many emotions, as well as extreme arousal, the sex scenes were hot! I agree with some of the other comments about your writing needing editing but my god, you know what, who gives a shit... those things are easy fixed. Any one can write with correct grammar and tense, but not everyone can write with heart and you my dear truly did that. Thank you.

Being a vampire fan, and living close to one of the most famous Vamp cities in the south, this gives me heightened pleasure to enjoy such exquisite writing!

This desirves to be a recomended read for anyone who loves Vampires as it is an excellet story!

You could be a new Charlaine Harris at this rate.

This was the very first story that I read here on Lit and I fell in love with it and come back to read it from time to time. Amazing really isn't an accurate word to describe this story!!

I didn't realize then that I could add this to favorites so I'm doing it right now!

I think this is a great story, but there are issues that a good editor could have helped you with.

The story was written well, but I just can't get over the fact of how quickly marina got over Dante, 200 years with him and after meeting some guy for one day she so quickly fell back in love? Makes me feel sorry for Dante who first had to wait hundreds of years for his love then more than a decade for marina herself.

I for one hopes that true love exists, and marina sickens me how quickly she gets over Dante once she meets Levi, many commenters say the story is romantic but frankly I think it's the opposite, it shows how true love doesn't last forever and all that nonsense about how he will live on in her heart and she will still love him is just some fallacy given to get rid of her guilt.

I'm not saying it wasn't written well because it was, but please don't mix up romance and love with lust.

Very good story and very romantic. Maintains the tradition of vampires knowing their mate when they meet them. She knew when she pulled him out of the cave but still fought with herself and her feelings of guilt the whole time. Where did Chad and Rose go and will they come back to take care of Marina and Levi? Pointless question I know but it was left unanswered or unexplored.
