Derrick will in fact move on in life and start doing grownup things but this is just one of those times were the actual story got relegated to a paltry ten percent and the rest is all sex.
I do wonder whether it's better to have it all "Salamandy's Party Parts One Through Five" and not separate it into five chapters individually named. It is all one party, two or three days long, while the ...at a bar series each had significant events that pushed the story on in their own way. That leads to overthinking and thinking happens instead of doing so screw it I'm putting it up as-is and getting on with the next chapter. Enjoy.
