I would have tried to read your tale, and likely have finished it, if you hadn't used the 2nd person POV format.

As a male, I cannot get into stories where the author has written to me as a female. As a matter of fact, I rarely bother to read any 2nd person POV stories.

I am bewildered as to why people write in this vein.
