Let's see if I have this right. Her boyfriend whispers in her ear and she does not recognize his voice? Only later upon hearing the voice a second time she "thinks" it sounds "familiar"?

You're right -- she does suck -- and so did the story.

I thought although a bit short it was good and it was fulfilling for me in the least
