Moreover, attempting to do so puts him in the awkward position of just having committed an illegal act without getting any leverage over his victim first, putting Melissa firmly in control. Maybe she's got some lesbo thing going on for Faith, but the "he felt he could get her the same way" path he's running down doesn't work.

Don't put way too much credibility in the power of a blackmail DVD - a woman yelling rape and threatening a harassment lawsuit has far more.
