"It was all frozen."
"What?"
"Crystalia. It was a planet of eternal winter. It had a small band of verdant land at its equator, but for the most part, it was all snow and ice. It was very beautiful. Most of the inhabitants were like you, all platinum blond, with the fairest skin and pale eyes. The sunlight on the planet wasn't strong enough for the native humans to have evolved dark pigmentation." He tilted his head in a considering manner. "Does the star still exist?"
She scowled at him. "How should I know!" Then she laughed at his solemn expression. "I see. You're going to use your powers and pull another dead planet into the same orbit Crystalia had, and recreate my world." Angel would have laughed more, but Devon's seriousness made her suck in her breath, shocked. "You could do it, couldn't you? B-but...an entire planet?" Goddess, this man's powers were scary. No wonder the Edenian council wanted him killed. And he's already admitted to being mentally unstable. Power like that could very well decimate the entire galaxy.
His eyes narrowed and he hissed, "it would be so easy, Angel."
She shivered wondering if he was reading her mind. The high priestess was making a big mistake bringing this powerful demon upon their planet.
Angel realized the significance of locating the Edenian Master Guardians. If they were the only ones capable of slaying him, then finding them was of the utmost importance. But perhaps this was all part of his plan. To find and destroy them before they destroyed him, then take over the galaxy without threat of being overthrown. If she found them, she should warn them of Devon's deteriorating sanity without him knowing.

Just to clear up a little confusion, Zak and Remi are not the original dragons from Fallen Angel, who had similar names- Zakreel and Remuel. They are their sons, but Rem and Zak don't know this. Remember how Rem said his mother was a pleasure worker? As for Zak, his mother's husband was sterile so they purchased cryogenically preserved sperm and Zakresulted from that. His dadsold his seed for money to escape from Earth because all of Dava's followers were being hunted. Darken had the misfortune of being captured, bit we'llsee more of these characters soon in The Witch and the Dragon. Some jaw dropping episodes are going to start in a chapter or so ;)
canndalmost 12 years agoLoved this start to Dark Prince. I have been confused about why Remian was one of the angels that came to Alpha 7. I know he is one of the dragons that each took one of the twins when their mom went after Dava. Was he with him to protect him? I love the character you created in Devon. There is this childlike goodness and innocence about him and yet it works even though he's a grown man and in other ways is definitely all man (and no, I don't just mean his body :) The other beautiful thing is the sense of familly that he had with the other MG's and how you can see the hole that is there without them. In some way it is a good foil to Angel who hasn't known love and family. I think there is a need for the same thing in both of them now. You continue to create this world that is so full of detail and imagination. There is so much to your stories. I've read FA twice already and would probably get more insights if I read it again. Thanks for continuing to share this story with everyone here.
