This story had some good possibilities but this wasn't it - sorry. Pretty lame. This is the first time I have ever left a negative comment.

You need either write a second chapter to bring the topic of Dee and her Dad back around beyond the google phone or just forget writing on this site. You could create a second chance story with a better outcome and bring up new things / topics etc.
