A very good story, but it could have included a bit of the first pregnancies. I would guess that in most of these cousin-cousin relationships in large families that seems to hint at Mormonism, that this type of lifestyle is predominate in Mormon towns, where a lot of people are related to each other......

I just didn't see how being cousins made a sexual relationship a problem, since genetically even being first cousins isn't a liability for eventually having children. Especially when the dating/marriage pool in this small town is so small, reality must be taken into consideration. The apparent taboo must have been either a local law or simply a local custom.
