Love natural flow of story.

I wish they had been more assertive with Bud. They had been to the top of Pike's Peak. Had spent a few minutes in the hot tub, They had in fact taken a nap, and Nel is his niece and daughter. If they had stood up for themselves Bud would have had a smile with some respect instead of a leering smirk.

BUT that's not so important. Claude is a pretty low-key guy... goes with his profession as a mediator. He had no need to be assertive at that point. He DID make it clear he wanted phone calls, not impromptu visits (later) but, at the door, he had no reason to think Buck would be smirking rather than showing respect. In fact, there may have been risk associated with being assertive at that juncture. You've doubtless heard the quote, "Me thinks thee doth protest too much."

I just finished chapter 16 - I gave it 5 stars - but there’s only1 chapter left. I can’t see an ending.......and I don’t want to read yet another unfinished work on this site. Should I I continue?

Ch. 17 concludes “Family Comfort”... but “Family Development” starts right up! I hope you enjoy THAT story too! 😊 MP2
