Please tell me there's more to it

Although the author states that it is not necessary to read the first chapter to enjoy this second one, it is really the case that reading Chapter 1 prior to this one makes for a much better reading experience, and gives one greater insight into the main characters. This second chapter is equally good, but it is best to read chapter 1 first.
