Mindflayers, or Illithids, don't reproduce sexually. The reproduce via a process called Ceremorphosis, in which an illithid tadpole is implanted into the head of a humanoid host, where it the eats the head and replaces it. More details can be found in Volo's Guide To Monsters. Mind flyers also have humanoid legs.
