You wrote a fairly hot scene here, but it was only a scene from a much broader story. We know nothing about these characters and why they're doing what they're doing, so it's difficult to care about them.

I can understand the objections of some of the others who commented regarding the wife's reluctance. "No" means no -- in real life. In fiction, it's a device used by some authors to relate the fact that the wife is naughtier and hornier than she leads people to believe. It's a way of portraying the "hidden slut" fantasy, which is extremely common. This can be done without articulating all the "no's", but only with a little more character development. The "no's" are a shortcut.

Didn't care for the ending. Never understood the desire for hubby to dip his fingers in and get a taste. And everything was left hanging. Did the wife regret it? Is the friend's wife even a factor? When the narrator alluded to this being the first time, should we imply that it's become a regular thing?

We may never know. Or we may have to wait four more years to find out! I encourage you to write more often. You have some raw talent. Creative muscles need exercise just like all others.

I think the critical flaw in your logic (and the logic of the others like you) is that you actually believe that most authors care about the ratings and comments they receive. Of course this story would be better rated in a different category. With very few exceptions, ALL LW stories would get better ratings somewhere else. HDK wrote it best the other day when he explained why LW stories are the lowest rated of all categories: in every other category, readers know what to expect; this category draws readers with several different tastes into one category.
