Nice but rushed

Some good ideas here and a good premise. I wish to suggest that you build your characters a bit more. Most stories here are about 4 times this length, so you may wish to take your time and consult with a volunteer editor on this site because it's a good start, it just needs refinement at least from my perspective. Keep at it please!
