Why not an RFID embedded subdermally? That's more likely. And why pay her anything? Why not just kill her? They clearly have no morals, why stop at legal aged girls? Why not engage with underage? After all, if they have no fear of consequences, you can bet that age isn't going to be a barrier either.

It seems odd that you are limited by the restrictions placed on a fantasy website when your characters have no respect for the law.

You're assuming he's telling the truth about not killing her, and paying her. Could be a lie to try to keep her from escape attempts.
