Brain started shouting and Dylan laughed watching Reed hold the phone away from his ear and grimace. She took the phone from him and started quieting her ex, not acknowledging his pleas for a second chance and threats to the man whose bed she was warming. Once she had him silenced, she simply said, "Have a nice life Brian."
She ended the call ignoring the rants from her ex. Her phone, now turned completely off, was deposited on the nightstand and she turned back to Reed with a fiendish look in her eyes. He watched, completely delighted, as she straddled his lap and started kissing up his neck and nibbling on his ear. His hands gripped at her hips and pulled her in close for a long kiss.
Breathless, he kissed her nose and smiled. "Happy birthday, love."
