Interesting Chapter

The father telling him not to bother buying the land because he would get it together with his daughter was really interesting figure. What got me was the cold unemotional way with which he considered the possibility. These English types are really cold-blooded. I wonder if Bella picked him out some reason other than love?

A comment and a response to Bruce22

Thanks for an excellent series. I look forward to more chapters, and to the continuing lessons in property and land and people management. Absolutely fascinating.

To Bruce22 - Your biog. does not indicate which side of the pond you originate from, USA or UK (incidentally a pity as I like to know who the authors are), but your comment suggests the former. Cosy so-called 'free' services are seldom a good idea in the business world. They tend to encourage a less-professional attitude to work and in the long term does no-one a favour.

I Agree Bruce 22

The previous series with Abby and this with one with Dan character quite

unemotional and passionless . I don't believe the English are like that. It is just the

style of Kezza67' writings !

In fact, most of his product is like emotionally surpressed .

A cleansing , after the heat from reading DeYaKen or Britease .

Perhaps an explanation is required

I am replying to comments by Bruce and others. Andy's cryptic comment to Daniel is one way in which Englishmen communicate with other Englishmen. They are embarrassed by emotion and dry comments such as Andy's are quite normal. It shouldn't be taken as disinterest. I thank all the readers who have taken the time to read my story and I am grateful for their encouraging comments.

Appreciative reader here

Well written and interesting. I find the developing relationships realistic and not without a hint of passion. I appreciate the business lessons and, given some of the themes in ABBY, wonder if property development iis also among the author's repertoire.

consider this POV

For those non-Brit readers confused by the British style of dry wit and cool temperament. Should consider the history of the UK leadership caste.

Brought up to be unemotional and courteous even through the worst of their Boarding Schools. This is not a new phenomena.

There was an Italian Merchant living in London during the Late Medieval/Renaissance period, who was horrified that the English would send their children away to be raised by allied families. He thought it meant that they did not love their children.

A bit more recent events to consider: A sky full of Luftwaffe, a surrounding ocean full of U-Boats, a few miles away a humongous Wehrmacht waiting for the order to invade.

And a typical British response would be. "I say Old Man, good form at the pitch for the Club Cricket Match. Jolly good show, say what?"

Who is this idiot 'fanfare' who is spewing BS and lies ??

Must be another British degenerate. Oh well, as long as they are tucked in their stinking little country all is well.

As a Brit, in general I like my country, we aren’t faultless - tbh we’re far from it, but we’re better than a lot of other countries I’ve lived and worked in over the last 40+ years, it’s a shame the loudest voices that criticise us online are the ones least likely to have spent any significant time here.
