I have one minor criticism. The story's set in 1965, yet the penultimate paragraph makes the events sound like they happened less than a year ago, let alone 45. Also, stag films (on celluloid) were still popular well into the late 1970s. The VCR revolution didn't kick in till around 1979-80.
