It's always a very bad (yet common) idea to start at the ending, or close to it, to then do a recap story. If I know the ending, or at least most of the plot, in the first paragraph, then I lose any interest in reading further.

It's like watching a delayed transmission of a football game. If the the commentator tells you the result before you see the game, you are less interested and less inclined to watch the game. It's the surprise and the unknown that keeps our interest.

Don't tell us the result before we watch/read!
