How old is this couple, to be this naive?

I can believe him firing off prematurely if it had been a while and he was excited. Or the 2 being straight out naive virgins. But having to look in a book for a sexual position? C'mon!

But even virgin couples have done just about all there is to do except for vaginal sex. So I found it weird, or a tad unbelievable. Maybe it is just me.
