As a newbie writer, you have a major problem which usually plagues male writers. Most males are inadequate in constructing female charaters or writing from a feminine point of view. You in turn being young create your male characters effeminate. They do not act like men, but are more like unwieldy props you struggle with and not knowing the "feel" of a male character instead place your feminine traits on them. All be it, you are the dominant in the stories which translates your being the one in control in your own life.

The way to overcome this is to stay with the character you know which is yourself. You would make a good lead in your stories, but struggle in trying to portray an outlook where men are leading you to sex, but in reality you are the one in control.

Write what you know and be yourself and your stories will improve immensely.

Yes, my husband actually did delete some of those comments...not because they were negative comments about the story, but because they were downright vicious and mean-spirited...written by someone who obviously doesn't like the genre.
