There was a very old piece of rope hanging from a willow right at the waters edge. I always assumed it had been some kids swing at some point in the past. It was perfect for what I had in mind.
I went over to it and pulled hard on it. It may have been old, but it was still plenty strong.
"Come over here," I directed.
The trepidation on her face was significant.

In order to be certain she was completely secured, I had to tie the rope rather tight. Since I didn't intend for her to be there very long however, I wasn't worried about cutting off the circulation.
She looked at me expectantly, wondering, I'm sure, exactly what I had in mind. She wouldn't have to wait long.
