Oh. My. G-d. That is the most beautiful story I have ever read. I'm not taking this as an erotic story, just as a short story in general, compared to all the short stories I've ever read (by the way, you kicked kate chopin's ASS with that story).

It was so beautiful...my boyfriend was reading it to me and more than getting me excited I felt something new, something I hadn't really felt before. I didn't want to *screw* him that night, I really wanted to *make love*. All of a sudden, I was jealous of what Cael and Star had - the ability to really get in touch with each other. I'm constantly worried about my boyfriend not getting the satisfaction he needs. I really wish we could *make love* sometime, showing that we really are two people in love. :)

I generally only review the fics I truly like, and this was definitely one of the best. It's good to find an erotic story with well-developed characters. It was easy to get completely involved in the plot. You kept me reading non-stop all the way to the end. I'd love to see more of Cael and Star. Thanks for the great story!

This is one of the best non-human stories ever,...please continue it....

The interesting thing about this story is the intelligence sachiaiko so obviously has and displays to advantage. While she has obviously drawn from many sources to fuel her own image of vampires (as nearly all authors do), she does so seamlessly and has obviously put a lot of thought into the guidelines she uses concerning vampires. Cael's wooing is fun to read, and I also liked the verisimilitude of Star's bad self-esteem (though perhaps a bit over the top).

My only concerns, while small, are important to note: firstly, she has consistently misused your instead of you're (annoying in otherwise fine orthography). Secondly, she rambles: five Literotica pages is quite a bit, and the relationship seems to be really drawn out. Lastly, I only wish sachiaiko would write more about both Cael and Star and the general vampire community.

It is the bane of every reader's existence to not get enough of a storyline or characters. I hope sachiaiko (who publishes infrequently on Literotica) will take the time for another installation examining Star's newfound powers, and Cael's position with other vampires.

A good read, and an intelligent plot etc.

The story of Cael and Star is in-depth enough to get a wonderful understanding of the characters. The eroticism of the story is extreme as well. Many adjectives make this story a very good read. This is one of the best stories I have ever read. Also, I believe you should write a few more chapters. I'm interested in knowing Cael's origin, possibly how he got to that town, and if Cael and Star are going to live together. If they indeed end up living together, some of their adventures would be interesting as well! Thank you for writing this, it is very well-written!

Great story! It's probably one of the best erotic vampire stories I've read. They way you've gone in depth with the characters makes the naughty bits all the more sensual. I'd love to see more chapters.

Okay - I love the story line, and love the characters! I would very much like to read more, and if you turn this into a novel, I hope you post info so all of your fans can line up to buy copies. May I gently request, however, that you find a very good copy editor? As much as I loved the story, I admit to being distracted by your vs. you're, and mans vs. man's, and a few other minor, but consistent, errors. These in no way affect your ability to spin a great yarn! So I do hope you keep this story going (I look forward to the bad guy) and I also hope you find a good editor, so that in future stories, the text is as perfect as the content. :) Happy Holidays!!

This story has everything, Vampires, my nickname and even my home state. I live in Salem. I can't tell you how refreshing it was to read your descriptions of Oregon. I also can't seem to decide which character I love more Cael or Star. It's amazing I can't wait to read more!

This story was among the best I've read here. The only way I get into erotica is if I believe the world and find the characters compelling. Your submission is one of the few that did this for me all the way through. Now I have been reading a lot of the popular romances that deal in vampires. I honestly think that with some reworking this story could certainly be competitive in this market. Go for it!

Hey folks, just wanted to clarify something in response to one of the comments left. Cael *can't* turn Star into a vampire, it doesnt work that way for my brand of blood-sucker. He can only claim her as his mate, and in so doing she'll mature and 'mutate' for lack of a better word, but she wont ever be a vampire. It's a genetic thing, it's passed through the men in the family :)

You use words sometimes that are spelled correctly, but for a different meaning then that which you hve used them for because there are alternate ways of spelling them. (Ie: There, their, they're etc...) and a few typos, but your character development and plot are magnificent. Well DOne, please write more!!!

I liked your writing style and the sex scenes were well done, but I thought the character development was pretty weak. I suppose it goes with the genre, but Cael was very one-dimensional; he desperately needs some flaws (other than latent violence and a tendency towards condescension) to make him more likeable!

I can see you've put more effort into Star, but I was kind of bothered at the extent to which she's divorced from her sexuality. All that bollocks about not being into boys and then the scene with the sexy outfit and lipstick just reinforces the virgin/whore dichotomy- it's not healthy! Also, I know she's only supposed to be 18 and this is dom/sub stuff, but I personally would find the sex scenes way hotter if there was less of an ownership subtext going on. She should be discovering her own sexuality, not getting off on fulfilling Cael's!
