Great story!! Even though I don't like the ending, it is a beautiful love story. I wish there was more that further explored the relationship with the main characters

You present a very believable first person character, and a very believable situation. I'd have personally preferred more character development and more insight into Étiennette's feelings and motives - but then, my stories tend not to be very popular with the Literotica audience because they don't have enough sex, so you probably got the balance about right.
