Like the storyline but several items make it difficult to read. You tend toward run on sentences (punctuation, please), you have trouble with verb tenses (I did, too, early on), and you regularly insert incorrect words (no adverb where there should be one, imminent not emanate, fell swoop not foul swoop, their not there).

Could use an editor but your story is engaging.
