If you somehow decided to skip to Saturday, then what the heck happened from Tuesday til then.

You might also look up divorce laws. No fault is not the same as property division; it's just grounds for getting a divorce. Pretty much only NY does not allow no fault divorce but that doesn't mean divorces aren't contested in no fault states. Property division is usually by some form of equitable distribution. You don't get nothing because you cheated. The property held in marriage is divided up.

Two the comment about him leaving his kids -- did you not read they went camping with their Aunt and Uncle. A stronger plot would make a stronger story.

This story is interesting with the new angle of telling the husband in front of her (his wife) and her lover that he is a cuckold and to accept this. But there seems little emotion in the writing of the story, and motions are very unclear. For example, did Karen cheat on him? What purpose did telling him about it serve? She never seemed to be a mother at home; he sister was Max and Megan's mother. The author needs to add feeling to his writing. I did like the manner of interaction between Mark and the bartender, and, also, Mark with his attorney, Henry. It might help to read and analyze some of the better stories under "Loving Wives." RAG

No one to identify with hear and how could a woman be so simple minded in her evaluation of the situation?

There is also the problem of the fact that there are no twists or mis-directions in your storyline. Everything is telegraphed and follows the formula for non-cuckold cheating wife story except for the cuckish behaviour of the guys cock knowing that she is giving it to the other guy even in their own home. I liked the fact that he didn't get violent and kill someone. Beyond that, the writing was wooden and the characters were uninteresting. I couldn't empathize with anyone and as a result didn't care who slept with who or who divorced who. Keep trying.

I really liked it when Mark helped the bartender out of his bad situation. Karen's character was dumb (as others have pointed out) but she was consistent and at least somewhat credible. In a way this was a similar situation to the one that Nici set up in her infamous story, but somehow Karen was more human. I like the way Mark handled it - firm but not mean.

You should have had the wife get killed in a car accident while blowing Jason or have had her resort to being a hooker to make ends meet. This way you could have completed the same formulaic, unrealistic rubbish that is so often put forth in this category. I even noticed that some of the more fervent woman hating revenge fans only managed to give you mediocre ratings. If this type of story is helping you in some way then keep writing them just expect mediocre comments and ratings. If you want to take your writing onto more imaginative subject matter I am sure you will get better reveiws as you are a decent writer.

I really liked your first three stories and hope you continue to write. Don't let negative comments deter you. I think your stories are more real and balanced then the usual stroke material.

Aside from his lack of emotion the male character only did one uncharacteristic thing. When having sex with your cheating wife, that sex would be rape not lying there taking it. Or as in most cases no sex at all.

I enjoyed the story even though I thought it was a little sterile. Mark's emotions were a little too controlled and Karen's character was a little too clueless. I know there are actually people out there like this but for a story of this nature it's all about emotions. That's why people read them. I would have liked a little more detail on the impact the cheating had on Jason's and Karen's life after the divorce, accentuating the punishing consequences. Just a small detail but when Mark and Karen had sex for the last time I would have liked to have seen Mark stop Karen just before intercourse to reach over to the bedside dresser for a condom. Just a subtle hint to the natural consequences of having sex outside the marriage. It's the little things that make a story more realistic. This was the correct consequences for this wife and this husband. That she fell for another man is quite common in real live. Vice-versa for men. Whether the husband puts up with what she asked is really up to him I think. Some hsubands do and become willing cuckolds for whatever reason. Some don't and react in different ways. You authors are presenting the many ways these things go and that is why it is so great reading loving wives stories. There is an author on this site who is a divorce lawyer(family law if you prefer). He wrote an essay on divorce law. Basically he said that infidelity no longer buys the aggrieved party anything. She still gets half the property. Not including property inherited or brought into the marriage. She won't lose custody of the children because of the infidelity. If she makes a lot less money, he may even be required to pay some spousal support depending on how long they've been together. There is just no way she loses everything. I don't necessarily expect realism all the time. After all, most good stories have some extraordinary events in them. Otherwise we'd be writing about our wives stopping off at the super market to pick up a loaf of bread. Yet to have the entire basis of the story counter factual means that I just can't get into it.

Divorce lawyer needs to get another occupation because obviously is not knowledgeable. Alienation of affection law suits still a potent payback tool. In North Carolina just recently a multimillion dollar law suit won on this very issue. Also, it is strictly BS to think that custody of children is not considered in a case of infidelity. Something about not being a suitable parent.

Of course, the divorce and other legal stuff is quite simply unrealistic. You don't just get to shut someone out completely from the marital assets-even in a so-called non-no-fault state. It doesn't work that way. I get it, though, it was fantasy.

What I didn't get was the motivation to tell hubby the story. Was wife afraid that she would get caught some day? Did she and her boyfriend really think he would be okay with it if she came clean? Wife seemed to be encouraged by the lover to tell hubby....what could his motivation (as a married man with kids) possibly be to open the possibility of having his affair exposed to his wife? That part never made sense to me.

But, I overlook that because I enjoyed the read and especially the humor of the tale.

I don't know if this kind of situation of facts presented.

The mental health of the wife was questionable at best. The revenge was lame and incoherent. The characters were weak and non descriptive. The plausibility was beyond questionable. This story was fun after the third read. It actually grows on you. Once you accept the level of idiocy of the wife it is quite good. Karen had the IQ of a dead ant. The author allowed a great deal of drama to build but the Calvary never bugled their charge nor was any violence which was somewhat anticipatory when the character introduced included a brother in law that was an elite military type. Although more civilized than expected, it was quite interesting to see Karen's meltdown as she crashed and burned at the conclusion. Thank you for offering it was extremely entertaining.

In at fault states there is a defense to divorce called condonation. You can't use adultery as grounds for divorce if you have knowledge of the adultery, and then engage in sex with the adulterous spouse. Thus condoning the adultery.
