Ged went on line and transferred ninety thousand to his current account. Then he called up the home page of the bank to whom Marie's father owed the money, and used the password and identification she had brought to access the mortgage account. He transferred the money. Then did the same with each of the cards.

"The wonders of the internet," he grinned at Marie, who was looking awestruck.

"But..." she stammered. "You've paid it all – the house I mean. But can you afford...?"

"Easily," he reassured her. "The band made a lot of money on the tour, you know, and we've only just come back. I also get royalties every time one of my songs is played. So don't worry."

She hugged him for a long time, her breasts were smaller, but somehow sharper than Cassie's. His penis began to stir.

"I never thought you would," she murmured, "but I knew I had to try. It's making Dad ill." Then she started back from him. At first he thought she had felt his arousal, but she cried, "You've paid for Cassie's wedding!"

He felt relieved, "I've helped your Dad out of a hole that Cassie should never have put him in. I've always had a lot of time for your Mum and Dad. I'm doing this for them and for you. You need a home. Forget it."

"You know, Dad tried to get her to write to you; he was sure you had an explanation."

"I had, but that's all past and gone now. Too late – she's married someone else."

Ged took her back to the railway station, where she hugged and kissed him fervently again and he went home with a satisfied warmth pervading his mind, and another slight erection at the recollection of her abandoned hug. She was so very like Cassie, and his emotions did a little flip.

At the moment the train pulled out of the station, elsewhere in the city Cassie's life began to unravel.

A fool

Sigh, why am in seeing a RaaC in the making. No drama in the break up, why is he paying for the wedding. Cassie fell so fast, Marie was a slut, Zac is a thief, the parents who the fuck knows, but he is bailing them out. Not really liking the characters much

Love the story...

I'm pretty certain we'll find that Zac stole the money and it's probably all spent now. She'll rue the day she married that loser, but I'm hoping you don't have Ged get back together with her. Besides, I figure a baby will show up soon, right? Give Ged a good woman to marry. And I don't blame him at all for sleeping with a few women once he got back. Good grief, his fiance dumped him and married another man. He's free and clear of the slut. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

another well written addition to the series

But the more we know about the characters the harder it is to like them. Ged professes his need to take it slow, develop a relationship, getting to know her first, and then in less time than it takes to walk home his is in love and in bed, again, and again, and again. Cassie. Well, if he decides to let her back into his life I will be very disappointed. oh well, I'm just a reader, not the author.

What ever happened to the album he did while in L.A.? Has Furtive Glance imploded?

Five stars

Nice, nice. Cant wait to finish it.

This bothers me- Cassie so easly went with Zac. First kiss, then date and then marriage.

Your stories always have some twist and I hope this one have it too. Maybe little Marrie will finish with him :)

Such high ratings, but no comments?

Convenient how the woman who loved him so deeply not only cut off all communication, then turned into an unprincipled slut, and thief. So why didn't Cassie's dad approach Cassie and Zak about helping with the payments? They sure stole plenty of money from Ged. But in a way, Cassie's stupidity makes more sense, seeing that she was raised by stupid parents. Really, you mortgage your house to pay for a wedding, to a man they did not approve of? And of course the biggest question of all, how did Cassie go from finding her soul mate and the man of her dreams, to falling back into the clutches of a philandering whore hound, lying cheating asshole? Like Cassie has no since of ethics, morals, character? Of course Ged should send Zak a Thank You card, for saving him from such a shallow cruel stupid woman. Ged's children will be much more intelligent and better raised with Cassie having no contribution to their genes and no influence on their characters. Good riddance!
