Courtney looked at me for a few seconds with her great big eyes, then stepped forward and hugged me tightly. I could feel her little sobs and her tears on my neck as I held her.
"Thank you dad. You're the best father in the world, and I love you very much." she whispered.
I smiled, because I was the happiest man in the world too.

Anonymousover 14 years agoI like the story and the work behind it well enough but had some trouble getting past the fact that after all of those years after her selfish breakup she contacts him hoping he will change his entire way of life to look after her decision to have a child. taxpapabobover 15 years agoThis is essentially the perfect love story because every type of love is beautifully depicted:: great sex & two romances, caregiving for a dying loved one, laughter & friendship, marriage, motherhood, fatherhood, spiritual bonds, patient & gentle forbearance -- it's all here. We get to know the thoughts and feelings of all the characters, even the two little girls. This is elegant writing and marvelous pacing. Five stars are not enough in praise of this work!! I love it! Kudos & fireworks!
Anonymousover 16 years agoIt is not usual to find a story like this in which the sex even though it is graphically described is secondary to the story line. A very well written contribution. The author is to be congratulated.
