Click hereI have tried my absolute best to be respectful of Arab culture and to create a realistic Arabic character. I've travelled extensively in the UAE and Oman and am planning another trip there in 2017. I love that part of the world, but I'm still a white guy trying to write about the closed world of Arab women, so if there are any mistakes, I can only apologize. I did the best I could.
Robert Lacey's book Inside the Kingdom was an invaluable and interesting resource for learning more about present-day Saudi culture, and I'd highly recommend it. One day, inshallah, the Saudis will loosen their travel restrictions on non-Muslims and I'll get to visit there.
Brilliant writing. The discussions between the characters are totally absorbing, and interesting to me. I have given the story 5 stars and I haven't even finished reading chapter 1.
Great story. I loved reading it. I am not a women but I am muslim and can relate a little bit. you did write well. Thanks
Very good narrative and build up with a balanced view from all sides. Write more , you are definitely made for it.
I enjoyed that this was a story well told...I do not know as the author did not as to the accuracy of all elements of the story but they were definitely plausible to this simple man. A.F.C. Somerset.
