I have tried my absolute best to be respectful of Arab culture and to create a realistic Arabic character. I've travelled extensively in the UAE and Oman and am planning another trip there in 2017. I love that part of the world, but I'm still a white guy trying to write about the closed world of Arab women, so if there are any mistakes, I can only apologize. I did the best I could.
Robert Lacey's book Inside the Kingdom was an invaluable and interesting resource for learning more about present-day Saudi culture, and I'd highly recommend it. One day, inshallah, the Saudis will loosen their travel restrictions on non-Muslims and I'll get to visit there.

Anonymousabout 3 years agoI just wanted to say WOW! This is just an amazing beautiful story! You are so knowledgeable and didn’t disrespect the religion or culture! I was cringing at the beginning because usually people write derogatory stuff about Muslim characters but this was very well written!

TOTALLY REALISTIC,
VERY ROMANTIC.
You DID NOT show any disrespect for Middle Eastern culture.
Love scenes were written from the heart plus they were masterfully crafted. BRAVISSIMO!
